Gazette on the disciplinary rules of lower court judges published

The government on Monday published gazette notification on the disciplinary rules of the lower court judges, said law minister Anisul Huq.
The circular has been written as per the Supreme Court’s instruction, the minister told journalists after the concluding programem of human rights day at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre.
The Supreme Court on Monday had given three days more to the government for the issuance of a gazette notification on the disciplinary rules of the lower court judges.
The five member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah, who is performing functions of the chief justice, granted the time following a prayer moved by attorney general Mahbubey Alam seeking one week time.
The AG said that the government has finalised the disciplinary rules for the lower court judges and it has been sent to the president for his approval.
Once the process is completed, the law ministry will issue a gazette notification to this effect, the attorney general said.
